Root TESTER NEEDED... again

ok but make sure when your looking at the files they are in
/sdcard/
not
/sdcard/rooting/
that will cause a catastrophic failure and if the scripts were to work right but the files werent in exactly the right place it would break your phone

it should be /sdcard/1.sh
/sdcard/2.sh
/sdcard/3.sh
and
/sdcard/files/
any other way will break the phone
 
ok good, kuz i looked up just "scriptrunner" and it was talking about it only ran some cricket 3g script, that would be bad lol. sh script runner should work tho, alright so go ahead and try it if everything is in the right spot, i will be "rooting" for you

how do i move the files so it can be sdcard/1.sh
/sdcard/2.sh
/sdcard/3.sh
and
/sdcard/files/
 
it really depends on the file manager youre using
you just have to copy(or cut)
and paste them in /sdcard/
because from the way it sounds right now theyre in
/sdcard/rooting/

they are and im using miui file explore so im probably going to have to use another explore which one do you suggest

downloaded es file explorer and i now see /sdcard/ but the files aren't there so ill cut and paste so i did that and now I'm guessing its in the root of my sd card but the thing reads/sdcard/rooting/ once i click it
 
once you have that, open up the rooting folder
on the top bar press the select button with all the little check mark boxes
the menu will change
tap files, 1.sh, 2.sh, and 3.sh
they will all have their names turned yellow
then right next to the select button is copy, and then cut
either one will work
once you hit that the menu bar will change back and a grey box with an arrow will appear at the bottom of the screen
now on the top menu again, press up, it should be where cut was
then hit paste which is right next to that
 
k, yea sorry i just went thru all the steps to copying and pasting lol, figured i might as well cover it just in case ya kno. but yea make sure you get all three sh files and the "files" folder, the readme is meaningless

yeah believe there in the correct its in the /sdcard/ then once i click on the folder it turn into/sdcard/rooting/ ...so and if i was a noob this would have been helpful thanks lol
 
k, as long as you have the su, busybox, makespace, and superuser.apk in
/sdcard/files/ youre good
you may proceed
and yea i find its better to never assume anyone knows anything in advance that can lead to problems. some people find it insulting but its better than having to figure out what went wrong later
looks like you might be on your own for a few tho, tether killed my battery. so itll be a few before i can get back online for more than just a second

Well I tried and it said error occurred then I tried on the other script explorer and it gave me some java error and asked if I wanted to continue anyway and I just said no.... but nothing happened to my phone so that's good the only other thing I can think of is trying to get a stock flashable cwm or script to install it, then anyone would be able to flash shins rom and obtain root
 
well the problem with that is, only zte knows their secret password. so unless we can get that out of them we cant make anything flashable through stock recovery. and no script will install the cwm or anything without being rooted
but i have a question which one failed and did it give any details? kuz i might be able to fix it if i had more info on what went wrong

Alright and the sh script just failed but I also had scriptrunner and I ran the first sh script and it gave me details on some java error and asked if I wanted to continue anyway or no and I hit no
 
i dunno why it would give a java error there is no java being used here
i can try one thing i can think of, the zip has been updated with a new 1.sh file
