Root Tether issue

What program is best for tethering? Sharing my internet on a mac? I tried "PdaNet", bluetooth and usb and neither works.

I will have to say barnacle as well, the only thing I noticed though is that, when I disabled it once I was done, I still could see the connection when I searched for signals, and it killed mt battery. I took phone off charger at 3am, ran barnacle to try it out using my ipod touch to tether off of my phone, and I woke up when just about a dead battery even though barnacle was off. Maybe it just bugged or something.

For some reason wireless_tether_2_0_5-pre15.apk Only version 2_0_5 works with my ascend, however, once installed, I can only use my phone as a wifi hotspot. The program needs to be uninstalled for the wifi to work again.
