Tether to TiVo?

I've got a Droid X running 2.2. Just began tethering (wired, using PDAnet) to my computer today, since I'm w/o an ISP for a couple weeks at home. Really, it's quite quick enough for what I do online...so the only thing still need the regular internet for is for TiVo updates. Does anyone know of a way to tether a Droid to a TiVo not wirelessly?

If the tivo can get wifi, you can do it. If your phone is rooted of course, or pay 30 bucks a month.

If you managed to establish an Internet connection through PDANet on your laptop, you can use Internet Connection Sharing (Windows) to bridge the wired (Ethernet) connection connecting your Tivo to your laptop. Works with my XBox.
