We need to add "rtecdc.bin" to the etc file on the phone for tethering to work? I see lots of people say it works but I have tried Barnacle and many versions of wireless tether and nothing works.

With Barnacle it wont even start up. With Wireless tether, everything looks fine, and it is discoverable but I can't connect to the network.

I never had to do anything to barnacle legacy to get it to work....if you're on dl09 adrynalyne has the hack to use the regular verizon hotspot built into his rom
 
Ya I am using super clean, dl09, imnuts 100 voodoo5.. Dunno why it does not work.. =(
 
The imnuts kernels don't work with the DL09 hotspot, you can run adrynalyne's Test2 (1/16) kernel, that works great with the hotspot.
