tethering on Verizon network

[yoyohere2]

I saw that the verizon xperia play can do wireless tethering or be a mobile hotspot. Is this free? Can I just enable it or do I have to sign up for a plan?

I've been tethering on a previous rooted android on Verizon without any issues. So can I do it on the xperia play without rooting it?

You will have to pay. Stay like you are and do not update anything from VZW or skype or you WILL lose what you have. Been there, done that. Had to start over.

It is free here in Canada.
