Help Tethering OR how I cooked an egg on my phone

Wow, I had tethering on for say, an half an hour or so. THEN, I touched my phone and it felt hot so I did that phone trick,
*#*#4636#*#* and check battery temperature.

It was at 47.3 C or 117F

Seriously, I had no idea phone could get so hot. It was like the screen and everything.

I was using PDANet free. Any ideas on how to keep it cool?

117 is high but not bad. Worry if you get over 130-140

Incredible's battery is rated up to 140F. If mine goes over 44.7C, I pull my case off and my back cover and leave it screen down to exhaust some heat.

Just download the HTC battery widget... it will tell you if you click on it.

To the OP, my battery was up to 145F or so after sitting in a hot car all day (in the center console, mind you). 117F is nothing.
