Help Tethering Question

First of all, I am trying to tether my eris to my playstation 3. I know you can do it with a droid and all them phones by wirelessly tethering, and then sharing the internet connection and using an ethernet cable to hook up your computer to your playstation. But I can't seem to get it to work with the eris.

So my question would be is it possible to tether to the playstation 3? Also, if it is, what is different in the eris from the other phones (droid, htc evo, nexus 1), that would allow them to work and not the eris?

You should probably just root and use wifi tether. A lot less can go wrong, and you cut out the middleman (PC).

I am rooted, and I am using wireless tethering. But the playstation does not recognize the type of connection that the phone is broadcasting. That is with any phone, not just the eris. I will just assume that it can't be done, since I can't find any information on it, and no one seems to know an answer. Thanks anyways guys!

I've seen it done with an xbox before, and it worked quite well actually. perhaps its jsut an issue with the ps3

My friend plays his 360 through his phone. Let me findout what he did.. Hopefully be able to answer back tonight...
