Help Tethering with Froyo?

So, now with froyo, usb tethering is listed as an option on my Epic. I'm kind of afraid to use it though. Will Sprint see it being used and block it/try to add extra charges to my bill?

Lol, I've been wireless tether app for several months without aproblem, not sure about USB.

Sprint will automatically block the USB tethering unless you pay $30+ a month...

However you can buy an app called "EasyTether" for $10, install the drivers on ur computer and tether using your current data plan.

my phone isn't rooted, will this work because i know most of the tether apps require rooting.

I was using easytether for a few months without my phone being rooted, so I would assume you don't have to, there is a free version you could try out before you buy it.
