Tethering

The instructions for my legend say that I can tether the phone to use internet on laptop. However when I connect the usb cable the only options I have are charge only, HTC synch and disk drive. How do I enable the phone to act as a modem? The phone is connected to a mobile network and browsing with the phone works a treat. Also I have installed HTC synch on the laptop and connects perfectly. I would appreciate any response as this facility would be very useful for my work.

Try going to Settings - Wireless & Network. There should be a option Internet Sharing. Maybe this will help.

You've got the latest software version installed? Is it a branded phone?

Yes the operating system is up to date, and yes it is branded - vodafone Spain, which I suspect is the problem
