Is your phone rooted? If not, i used to use PDA Net, this is a usb tethering app for free and it works great.

Since rooting my phone though, i now use the wifi tethering app and it works great as well.

I use PDANet on my rooted Eris. EasyTether gets good reviews too.

As far as tethering goes, whats verizons standpoint on this? I know they sell a "tethering" plan. Is there any way they can tell if I tether though a program like EasyTether?
