Help Tethering?

I would call what I want to do tethering but everything I find is going the other way.

I have poor cell reception in my office and no WiFi so when I plug my phone into the USB port I want to use my desktop network on my phone.

I have an HTC Incredible (ADR6300).

I haven't tried it but you will definitely have to enable internet connection sharing on the desktop.
At least that's how I would get internet on my dell axim.

I don't think you can use internet connection sharing between a windows pc and an android phone. You might give this a try.
