Root Tethering

Because you paid for data on YOUR PHONE. It's very plainly spelled out in the Verizon contract that enabled your phone for unauthorized wireless tether is a breach of contract. That's like asking "I bought a car that has a top speed of 130, why the hell can't I go that fast if I want to?"

No, its nothing like that at all actually. Its more like Comcast, Cox cable and the like wanting to charge you per PC that connects to your internet connection. That failed miserably.

I can share it just fine on wife's Pro or D1. So again, thanks for posting the radiocomm hack!!

Without the radio hack? Not seeing how it would without it, since all wifi tether apps use same basic process.

What are you talking about? I use Open Garden, it works perfectly, and I don't even know what the radio hack is!
 
I tried using the app and got the VZW warning about getting the hotspot service for tethering. The same warning others have gotten when trying to use wifi tether without the radio hack.

Besides that how are your using the app without rooting? It asks for permissions that require root.

I tried my iPod and tablet and got the same warning and no connection.
 
That app needs root to work and the radio hack.

Update: I see you now are getting "The Warning".

Be careful trying the app, since not sure how many hits will result in contract issues for unlimited data. VZW is not as forceful as At&t yet, but will probably get there eventually.

Haha ya i got that within an hour of posting here... Kind of ironic! Can someone post a link to the radio hack and also some apps that dont require the hack! Thanks

Update: haha i am dumb it was just further up in the thread nevermind!
