Text and email alert

Hi, can the text message alert be different to the email alert

Yes. First set the "general notification" for the mail (and sms) then go to sms ("messages") and set a different one for sms-only...

I've just had a thread for this exact thing mate.

Basically you can go into messages > menu > settings > notification sound

set the one you want for messages.

then in your standard settings set your default sound and that will be for email
