Help Text Contact Info to Another?

So a buddy sends a text message asking if I can send him the contact info for my babysitter. No problem, her contact info is on the phone. I'll just copy it and paste it into a text back to him... right??? Right...

Ultimately, after trying everything I could think of, (and accidentally calling the sitter) I memorized the number, went back to the text reply and typed it in. Then I went back to the contact to make sure I didn't transpose any numbers, which I had (glad I double checked). Then I retyped the text. I would have done well to search out a pen and some paper from the start.

Is there a way to copy contact info to be used in email or SMS?

I think I read about a problem about sharing babysitter info with good friends in a Dear Abby column.

Mom A shared babysitter info with Mom B. No problem until Couple A and Couple B needed a babysitter for the same night. Mom B got a hold of the babysitter first and Mom A had to find a new babysitter.

So make sure you guys set up the ground rules about what happens should you both need a babysitter for the same night :)

:) I was just going to ask this same question. I had a similiar issue with trying to give contact info to someone else.

I'm an idiot! If you open the contact and hit edit you can then long press the phone number to copy it. Then you can paste it to the SMS.

As for the babysitter, we use her weekly (sometimes multiple nights) and she always checks with us before committing to another. Yeah, she's getting a Christmas bonus.
