Just got the HTC desire S . Can anyone tell me how I can make the font on the texting bigger. As being of the older generation my eyes can't read it . Can you recommend the latest App to help.

Welcome to the AndroidForums, geminijacqu60.
I did a quick search of the Android Market for "big font sms" and got these two results that look like they'll be able to allow you to change the font size in their SMS app:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.jb.gosms&feature=search_result
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.android.wsage.stylisms&feature=search_result
Note, I have no personal experience or knowledge about these two, so you'll want to do a little reading and research before purchasing. There are also very likely other apps, too, that might suit your needs.
Also, if you haven't already found it, here's a link to your phone's home forum:

The good folks in there might also have some good suggestions for you.
Cheers!
