Up to about a week ago I was able to send and receive photos through my stock text app but now I can't. When I try to send a photo it gets stuck at Sending... and when I receive one, i have to hit the download button (the photo automatically appeared before) and it hangs and never downloads the image. Did I inadvertently change a setting or something?

When this happened to me I had to end up doing a factory reset. Haven't had a problem since.

I hope I can avoid that but I guess if nothing else works .

Fixed it. I restored default text settings and rebooted.

are you rooted by any chance? with a rom? or kernel? i know a kernel can do that

I am rooted but running stock rom.

hrm, then i dont know what could be causing the issue with that, maybe wiping data on your sms app through application menu

My data is usually off unless I launch a data app through a tasker profile or turn it on manually. I had not included the messaging app in the profile so data was off when my phone was trying to download the photo. Oops!
