Help Text Message: Can Send, Can't Receive

Have Gingerbread installed. Two days ago, I stopped getting text messages. I can send, but nothing new comes in, including replies to the text I sent.

Please, anything but a factory reset - already did one 10 days ago for another Gingerbread eff up.

Thanks, I didn't see it at the time; had just gotten off the phone with HTC, who could only tell me to clear data. I was pretty aggravated, and even more so now that I know there is a fix out there and their tech support doesn't know it.
