Help Text Message Display Order

Hello, new DX user here. I have a question that I've not been able to find an answer for. When I text back and forth with someone, I've noticed that if I place my phone down and then pick it back up (between texts), the display will take me back to the top. Which means it shows the very first text in the (usually) long list of replies going back and forth. Is there any way to change the order in which it displays text messages? Or maybe even a way to get it to not go back to the first one?

Clarification...
I've noticed there was a software error that would list different text messages from different people in non-chronological order. My problem, as I'm understanding the other problem, is different than that. I'm talking about when I'm in the same conversation with the same person. My wife can't receive calls at work, but she can text, so we often chat throughout the day and will usually have a long chat thread. My problem is within a single thread. If we begin texting at 9 am, then that text message will be listed at the top of the list. As we text other messages appear going downward, all in correct chronological order. It's when I pick up the phone to text again that it will show the very first text in that thread. I would like the display to stay on the last text so I won't have to scroll down every time. Hope this helps clarifiy my problem.

Not a great answer, but download Handcent. It's a much better text platform and will do exactly what you are writing for.
