Help text message failures

My phone will periodically say that the text message failed during sending, however, my recipients sometime get it still. Is there anyway I can tell if it actually failed or if my phone just decided it failed?
 
When you open the messaging app, then hit Menu -> Settings, is Delivery reports checked? Probably already is, just checking.
 
mine did that few days ago too. at 6am. tried 10 times and still saying failed.

internet and phone worked fine.
