Text Messages at Screen Lock

My Xperia Arc sleeps after 2 minutes. I like this as it helps save power.

I would like to set the phone to come alive and at least show the message on the locked screen.

Can I do this? If so, how?

Try installing GoSMS Pro (it's free app on the market even with "Pro" tag). It has tons of features, among others is Pop-up window when message is received and there is option called "Unlock screen upon receiving message". I think this will solve your problem.
