Help Text messages - showing picture of sender

One thing on my wife's Epic has both of us baffled: when she receives a text message it shows the phone number of the sender but not their picture. Their picture is in the Contacts but it does not show up on incoming text messages. I have went thru everything I could think of - am I missing something??

This is indeed strange. Have you tried maybe removing the contact image and then adding it back in? (Not deleting it from your phone, just removing it as an icon). Are you having the problem for all contacts or just some of them?

Are you rooted? Running a special ROM? Stock?

is it a picture that is actually on the phone? Or is it a FB pic?
If its FB, then you probably need to go into setting>accounts and sync>
and add account and pick FB from the top portion and add her account that way and that should fix the SNS stuff
