I can send and receive messages from everyone but for one number I can not receive only send. This is a number that has text me for years and all of a sudden I do not receive them. What do I do?

Check your settings within your messaging app and make sure you didn't accidentally block text messages from that contact.
Also, check with your carrier to see if there are any problems with incoming texts from that number.
If your friend is willing, have them check with their carrier as well to see if there are any issues with outgoing messages to your number.
