Text Messaging Multiple Contacts

I am trying to send a text message to multiple people by scrolling down my list of contact and adding them as I go. Is there a way to do this? I am able to hit 'compose' but cannot scroll.

Please advise.

I can't figure out how to do it either! We're supposed to remember all our contacts if we want to send a message to all? (Such as Happy New Year?) Come on, Android! Sort it out! Cheap mobile phones have been doing this for years!

create a group contact in the people app, in mine the system automatically grouped all the contacts and created a system group. Once you create a group you can send them texts and emails

You can do this using handcent, the alternative sms app that everyone praises so much. Click the new sms button and then click the green arrow in the 'to' field. That opens your contracts list and you tick all the contracts to send to. At that point you can also pick to select all contacts or certain groups.

I don't have a green arrow on handcent but I do have a blue cross which does same thing ;)

I moved over to t-mobile from 02 and (deliberately) didn't port my number. Anyone know if there is any easy way to transfer my contact numbers from my motorola o2 sim to my G2 Touch to save the laborious manual task?
Thanks
