Help text messaging problem

So I have recently bought a Motorola triumph. For some reason I do not receive any SMS messages from any friends that use at&t. I can review calls and also pics from them. But not SMS. I tried reprogramming my phone and also downloaded the go text application. I also just noticed that when I turn my phone off and back on it said I have so many new messages but when I click on it there is nothing. Any advice?

have you tried a factory reset of your device that should clear out the problem. if rooted with cwm you can wipe cache first before resetting titanium backup before data wipe

its a carrier issue. the problem is how sprint and att communicate.

they might sort it out they might not.

i know sometimes there are days where friends with att cant text me but it always gets fixed in a day or two.

i really, REALLY doubt its your phone. its sprint who has to contact your phone and deliver the messages, sprint has to receive the messages before your phone does.

tried the reset and didn't work. is it really the carrier. because i bought it last friday. so it has almost been a week. still noyhing?

I received a replacement from VM about two weeks ago, ever since I haven't gotten my messages and calls the majority of the time..

i always blame the network first, when i first got this phone i would get all text and sms and picture messages sent to me



5 days later lol (best part is the messages would be dated the day the person sent it, not when i recieved it so id be like what new message, this says 5 days ago lol)


currently the only issue i ever have is, the phone seems to not like mms or whatever the text message is called after it passes like 3 lines, its 50/50 when i send or recieve them, unless im sending one and i do not send a message to the same person anytime after lol then it seems to work after sometime of waiting
