Help text messaging problems?

i'm not sure if this is the network or the phone, i have a samsung galaxy prevail (on boost mobile of course) and it has been working perfectly fine until around last thursday it started acting funny and wouldn't let me receive texts unless i restarted my phone.
the next day it was fine but then it started acting up like that again -__-

Text or mms (pic mail) several people have been having issues with mms recently. I believe boost may be doing repairs/upgrading towers

Call customer service and ask them if there is an outage in your area
