Help Text notification sound - does not change?

Anybody have leads on how to change the text message notification sound on this phone? It does not change with the other notification sounds. Not finding a separate setting for it in-app either. The pre-assigned sound is a bit cheesy for my tastes.

From the main messaging page just press the settings button on the bottom right. Its in there. Took me a while to find it as well.

Unless you want other cheesy installed sounds, you must first create a folder named "Notifications" on the phones internal storage and put desired sounds in it.

To change the sound, open messenger, press menu key, select settings, select choose ringtone, factory sounds and anything you have placed in the above mentioned folder will appear, choose one, press OK.

Thanks for the tips! The setting definitely is in-app afterall. I'm wondering if there was an auto update that fixed the problem because I was pretty certain I wasn't finding it a few days ago, and I also saw a review on the verizon site with someone else complaining they couldn't find it either.
