Help Text Notification

[jason27]

So I'm very new to android. I downloaded handcent but I am of course receiving multiple notifications for one text message now. One from the stock and another from handcent. Question is how to turn off the stock messenger notifications. Thanks for any help.

Click on the stock messenger app, go to settings, go to notifications and uncheck notifications. Problem solved.
