Help Text on lock screen gone.

When I first got it phone my most recent text would show up on lock screen and now it doesn't. Went through settings and can't figure out what I did to cancel it. Any help would be appreciated.

start the text messaging app. touch the three vertical dots at the bottom of phone screen. select settings. scroll down to where it says 'enable popup'. make sure it's got a checkmark.

Yeah that is one of the first things I checked. Not sure what happened. Could it be my corporate email account blocking it. Had to encrypt phone.

I'm completely guessing here, but I don't see why the corporate email would block the text popup or why encrypting it would do that either, though you're the only person I know who encrypted the phone, so maybe it does alter some of the other app behaviors.

Did you by chance put a PIN or other security measure on the lock screen? That might do it. Does the popup still come up when you're on the home screen and you get a text, or is it completely non-functional?

The phone software has bugs. You might have discovered another one.

There are other texting apps on the playstore that also do popups that might work for you.

Yesterday I lost my lockscreen completely, even though I had "tap" selected in the security settings. So I did a FDR... Warranty replacement will be here tomorrow.

With my corporate email I have to have a pin on lock screen
