Text problems

Hi.

I am now using chomp sms instead of the origional text app that came with the desire. I am still getting texts to the HTC text app. Does anyone know how to shut that off so I can just use chomp?

Texts always will go to the stock app. You can only turn off notifications to it.

Does that mean you pay for each message twice or is it just copied when it is in the phone? Cheers for your time, ste.

You're not charged for the message twice. Message is received, and both messaging apps simply "pick it up".

In your stock messaging application, simply choose Menu > Settings. Uncheck Received Notification (Show notification in status bar) and Play Notification Sound.
