Hi all, I'm cross posting this between here and Boost's forum just in case it's a service provider issue.
I just got my first Android recently, along with my boost service. I seem to have an odd problem.
When I'm at home, I have 3 bars of service. For some reason, I can't receive text messages unless I make a phone call first. I can send them out fine, and it seems I can receive them while I'm at work, but not while I'm in my apartment. I had Sprint before, and my understanding is that they share towers, and this has never been a problem before.
I can make phone calls, and receive e mails without any problems.
Things I've tried:
Texting myself @ all steps: only received if I make a call.
Restarting
Factory reset
Turn off 3G
Turn on 3G
Remove the battery all together, wait, restart
