Help Text Response Going to Another Contact

Lately I've been trying to respond to received text messages by using the tap to compose method. I have received messages from two different contacts and my responses were sent to the same wrong contact. The wrong contact's messages have been deleted so I know I'm not responding to the wrong message by mistake. Thank you for any help

Unfortunately, this is a bug that has been confirmed by Google and they've recently pushed updates to their Nexus devices addressing it. I'm not sure when it will trickle down to our phones, all depends on LG and Sprint, but seeing as though there aren't any custom skins to slow down the process, hopefully we will get the update addressing the bug soon. For now, I've read that it helps alleviate the problem if you close any background process that may be hogging the memory before you open the SMS app, and letting everything fully load before you start selecting a contact and messaging.
