Is there a way to set a signature for text messages? searched google and checked out the suggestions on this topic but could not find what I was looking for.

Does that defeat the purpose of a text? Short Message Service

A signature would just go against your 160 character count and your message would be more likely to be truncated into 2 messages.

If you download the Handcent sms app you can add a signature. It's a better app than stock anyway.

SMS signatures are horrible and annoying. Please be polite and don't use them. Anyone's SMS app easily tells them who the SMS is from, no need to pollute these quick little texts.

Especially annoying when the signature is longer than the actual content of the SMS 99% of the time.
