I've had this problem in Mik 1.4, 2.1/2.15, as well as CM7. Basically the phone says "speak now" but it doesn't "hear" anything. The microphone is working because I can make calls and record elsewhere...
If I clear data on Google Voice Search, sometimes that will bring it back -- but not always.
Someone suggested downloading a file from the market that was essentially voice to text data. I have searched unsuccessfully so I'm hoping someone knows the name of the file I can download to fix it.
