Text tone

Hi All,

Can anybody tell me if you can set up a new message tone and if so how to do it? I have an HTC hero.

Of course you can

If you want to use your own mp3, stick the file in a folder called 'notifications' on your sdcard.

Then go to the stock SMS app/handcent/chomp SMS and go into the settings for that app and set up the notification with the right sound.

Same goes for emails or any other app with notifications.
