texting after update

I updated mine about 5 hours or so ago and so far I haven't had any issues at all. I've done quiet a bit of texting since then too. Maybe you should restart your phone and see if that helps. Usually anytime I update or add apps after its all said I done I restart my phone and find it runs very smoothly.
 
I hope it helps!!! If not you might try a battery pull and if that fails its prob time to call VZW. Text getting sent to the wrong person could be bbaaaddd lol!
 
just make sure you're in the right thread before you start typing.

it's a "known issue" with some droids where if you bring up messages and go into a thread too quickly it'll retrieve the wrong thread. it's lame, but at least folks are aware of it!
 
I only said something after the update bc it didn't do it before... I deleted all my messages seemed to help but when I jad 10 different people and I text one when the message sent it would be to someone else even tho I was in typing to a different person
 
This has happened to me like 5 times after the update, just happened to me a few minutes ago. I was in the right thread, double checked to make sure, hit send, the screen went completely white for a second then it came back and it was a completely different thread.
 
Same thing happened to me right after the update. I meant to send a couple messages to a friend and they both ended up going to my father. I know I was in the right conversation thread when I sent them because I have a pic for my friends contact number. My dad's is the default picture. When I opened up the messaging app again, my dad's thread was on top. Luckily it wasn't anything bad, but this is a HUGE issue. Verizon messes it up again.

When this happened I hadn't rebooted. Now I have and deleted all my messages. Will be very cautions for a while now about who I am texting, and what I am texting.
 
I deleted all my threads and did a reboot... hasn't happened again since I did, so Im hoping that fixed the problem. I'm also being really cautious of what i send
 
I went to VZW today because my phone keeps going dead even when its on charger, its done this several times over past few weeks. So while I was there I also asked bout this text problem and of course the answer to it all was to do a factory reset. Needless to say as soon as I sent a text out...you guessed it, it still went to wrong person. Fingers crossed the phone will at least take a charge...but I highly doubt that too.
 
I have now had that happen to me twice. Was in the right thread and it randomly sent to somone else. Wow could this really be a bad thing.
 
This happened to me twice. Made sure I was in the right thread - sending to the right person... and when I hit send, it went to someone else.

I see in the other notes listed, that the next update addresses text issues to other contacts, so hopefully that clears up some of them. Thankfully, I haven't had to explain anything to anyone yet from my end, wink wink nudge nudge..
 
After the update it was fine for a while. Now, it does it once in a while. Pisses me off. I love my T-bolt, but I'm about ready to dump all my cell phones. Been fighting this crap since i got my DInc. Sorry, but we really shouldn't have to be putting up with this. How hard is it to develop software in a office environment?
 
Happens to me almost everyday its really annoying. it never happened before the latest update. Has anyone used a different messaging app besides the HTC sense one? If so does the same problem occur?
 
This is a really bad problem since the update. It happened to me too many times, and personal texts to my girlfriend were being sent to other people like co workers and family. Because of the frustration, i immediately downloaded handcent....works perfectly. I'd use handcent until the fix for the stock message app comes out.
