Texting and Google Voice

How can I take advantage of Google Voice and free texts on the Captivate? I would love to be able to do this however, I don't want the Google voice phone number to show up to the other party. I want it to show my cell's number. Is that possible and if so, how do I go about doing that and get free texting?

until you can put your mobile number to google voice I don't think you can do what you're asking.

Nope, sorry, not possible. However, if you have google voice setup properly even if someone were to call that number it should ring to your cell anyway. (Haven't tried this so take that with a grain of salt.)
