Help Texting by itself, help please

Hi I purchased my Optimus back in December. Haven't had much trouble till lately. It has started texting by itself. I saw it one other time and just thought it was a fluke because it didn't send, they just stayed in the box.

However today I plugged it in to the charger and left it sitting face up. When I came in from outside it was swyping it's little heart out.

The following are the texts it not only typed but sent by itself.

All were sent within 1 min. at 1104 am, the last was sent at 1105.

I haven't downloaded anything to my phone except items from the market. Does anyone have any ideas what would do this?
 
I am using swype that came factory on the phone. The only apps I have dl are from the market and none have to do with texting. I am not very technical so you can trust not much has been done to the phone.

I could actually see the blue swype line going from one letter to another. It was bizarre to say the least.
 
I don't use swype but stock messaging sucks along with the stock keyboard. Try installing better keyboard 8 for gingerbread its free in the market I believe it does swype also check in the setup options.
 
Curious, but did it actually send them to a number or contact? If so, try calling that number and see if anyone answers, and make sure to check your next bill closely.
 
I've had the same problem with my phone doing that and it's frustrating. The other day, it randomly kept hitting mute while I was on the phone with a friend. And it wasn't my face b/c I was on speaker phone. :(
 
Luigi had something to do with it cause his name is mentioned twice. LOL Do you have any Luigi games?

I forgot to tell u to reboot it too. :)
