Help Texting; Can Send...Can't Receive

Wife and I got HTC EVO's from Best Buy last week (first experience with "smart" phones). Could send/recv texts at first. Now, while I can text people, I can only receive text from my wife. (I have confirmed other's have indeed replied...but I have not received anything in my "messages" folder.) Again, can only receive from wife. Contacted SPRINT yesterday. Instructed to remove the battery which then allowed the SPRINT rep to upload program updates. Reinstalled the battery. Rep sent couple text messages to me--nothing received. But wife can still text/reply to me with no problem. SPRINT rep started a "help ticket" and suggested I return to Best Buy for assistance.

Figured I'd ask the experts here first...whatchayall think?
 
I'd do a factory restore myself, just to try and rule that out (THAT being software issues). Sounds like the phone is failry new so I assume you wouldn't have much to lose with going back to factory settings.
