Help Texting issue

[suem]

I have the htc Rezound.....when I text somebody it shows me their name.....when they respond it shows me their phone number instead of their name in a whole new text....it's like there are double accounts for everybody and I can't figure it out! Same with my pictures they are doubled in my gallery! Any help would be appreciated.

You might try powering off your Rez.. pull the battery out for a few.. reinstall.. and power back up. Sometimes a phone like a PC needs to have the webs knocked down from the corners. Good luck.

My wife had a similar problem. It turns out that when she purchased the phone the verizon tech synced her accounts in a strange way and it created mirrored lists. She went back to verizon and had them fix it. Maybe this will work if "olbriar's" fix doesn't clear the issue.

Just be sure all of your contacts are in gmail vs the phone. It makes life SO much easier if you need to reset the phone, change phones, try a new ROM or whatever.
