Help Texting Issues

I have a Desire and my girlfriend has an iPhone 4S. Now, I've not had any issues until today. The problem is, I'll send her a text; it'll show that it's been received yet it hasn't. I was doing some testing with her and it turns out that if I then send her another text, she receives the first one, and that one only. If I send another, the second text is then received but not the third.

I have no idea why this has started happening. Is it my phone, or hers? This happened before I factory reset my phone; it then worked fine for a bit but now it's happening again. Getting quite frustrated now.

What networks are you and your girlfriend on?

I only ask because my wife had the same problem with her desire s when she first got it. Not exactly the same problem but she would receive messages for ages then they would just come through when they felt like it. My wife is on orange.
