Texting/ Mobile Data(?) Problem.

Hey guys, so Ive been having a problem with My S2 in which I cannot get picture messages or video message, and just those. (They wont auto download and will fail to download) I still get regular messages just fine. I also have a second problem in which I cant get on anything like Facebook, youtube, google playstore or Chrome. (Unless I am at home and connected to our internet, however outside that nothing of the sort works)
This only started happening a few days (week or 2 ago) Around the same time I Rooted myphone and started changing ROMs. If anyone could please help me or let me know of whats possibly wrong Id really appreciate it.

Extra info.
My mobile data is ON, no mobile data limit set.
Wifi is ON
MMS Auto-retrieve is ON (My plan does include getting these)

Phone is the S2 SGH-T989 (Koodo version)
Android version - 4.0.4
Baseband - T989DTLLG2
Currently on the Infamous Resurrection2.0 (Not changing ROMs until I figure this out or is required)
Ps, Ive also had this problems with all the ROMs ive tried so far, not just this one.

If your S2 does not have 4G, you might have to call your carrier and re-activate your device with them, as i know this can happen sometimes when changing ROM's...

Otherwise have you tried just reinstalling the ROM, it could be something wrong with the process you took to put that ROM on it.

I have tried re installing the ROM over again with no luck.
However I think I did lose my 4G statues, (Although im pretty sure im not suppose to have it with either the phone I have or Koodo, I do live in a pretty random spot hahaha)
Just wondering though, if I were to call in and ask them to re-activate my phone, would they care at all its Rooted and would it be a lengthy process?

Also, how can I check if Im on 4g, etc..?

Hi Deza. Since you're rooted and running a custom rom I'll move this to the All Things Root forum.

Before you started trying roms, did you make a backup in recovery of your stock OS?

What recovery are you using?

Have you tried flashing a different radio? Look in the All Things Root Guide for links.

Yep thats fine, I wasnt sure if I should have posted it there, but thanks.

And I did make a backup, well before I rooted my phone I backed up, and before my first ROM I backed up it up that once, just that once though honestly.

And by recovery do you mean Like CWM? Cause thats what Im at hahaha.

And as for the last question, I havent really looked into it, I dont fully understand them and dont want to messed up my phone doing it.
I wouldnt really know which Radio to flash and which would do what and which would do better for me.

PS, I got most of it fixed, in Mobile Network Settings I went into APN (Access point Names) and found that my only option there was a Telus one, which I am not, so I which it to the Koodo (sp.koodo.com)
Which like I said only fixed half of it, I can now get on facebook and such, however, when I get a picture message I cant download it.
The only thought I have is that when I changed my APN to Koodo, it got me on 3G. Even though when I first got this phone it had 4G, well maybe not but it had the little Icon. Now it only has the 3G icon.
Any clue on what could fix this??

Have you tried restoring the rooted backup you made in CWM to see if that fixes everything?

Also, check this page under Setting Up Multimedia Messaging Services. Does your APN look like that for MMS?

The rom you are running, have you read through the thread to see if it shows the 4G icon? Some roms act differently with that. Several roms I've tried show H+ instead of 4G.

Did not need to restore, the link you sent did it though, just fixed the slots for MMS in my APN, rebooted and its all good now! Thanks for like the billionth time!
