Help Texting on the optimus

I have questions. I am using the standard texting app and is there a way to save more than 200 texts? everything before that just deletes.

And if i use GO SMS pro how do i get the standard message app to stop notifying me?

I use Handcent SMS, and they still start dropping off once there are 200+ messages in a conversation. I think it's a limitation of the internal message database.

I have an app called "SMS Backup & Restore" that will archive all my messages whenever I want. It will also let you view the old files.

To disable the defaunt messenger app's notifications just do the following:

Open Messenger
Make sure you are on the main screen which displays all of the threads
hit the menu button
tap the settings button
scroll down to notifications
uncheck the box

I love handcent, I had to ajust the bubble (i hated that on the iPhone) I love how it reads to me.. so I can text and drive with read to me and voice to text.. I use barely any min's at all.

Just in case you didnt realize, you can change the limit per conversation from 200 to 5000 in that same settings menu.
