Help Texting - Profanity Filter and typos

Ok, two questions.

I've looked through the user manual on the Samsung site and didn't see my answers (granted, I used the search feature and skimmed topic headings, not read the entire thing)

One of my favorite things about my Droid Razr was that it underlined typos (much like firefox or MS office). I'm a horrid speller and it let me catch a lot of my issues. Can I set that up on my N2?

And the profanity filter. When I get a txt msg that has profanity in it (f-word, etc) it is changed to little ****. I hate this. If I want a censor I'll call the FCC. How can I change this?

I dont have my friends cursing at me that often, but I dont believe mine is censoring my texts. Which version do you have?

Language and Input/ Voice Search/ Uncheck Block Offensive Words

Mine doesn't either- I sent/rec'd profanity laced text for the purpose of this thread to people on different carriers and each sent/rec'd was not filtered.

Mah bad! It's the only profanity setting on this phone. Very possible the issue is on the senders end. Could be a carrier restriction. Could be a keyboard setting.

Ah. I see that, for what ever strange reason, the voice setting effects the txt one too.

Now I just need the little red squiggle line for typos. Anyone know how to find this, or an app that does it?

Ah, no, not knowing him. And after changing the setting suggested above I had him send a txt with the words that were being **** and they all came though.

Now I just want my red squiggly typo lines back.

Ok....now THERE you lost me.

If you look at the screen from time to time you'll see you misspelled a word. :D
As I'm typing the letters are appearing also offering me suggestions when I've misspelled.

Like in Microsoft word or Firefox. If you have a typo a red squiggly line underlines it.

I have spelling issues due to learning disabilities, and basic my ability to see that I've misspelled a word is limited to none.

If I wasn't using Firefox to post this, I would have 8 typos for instance.

My Droid Razr showed me red squiggle lines when I had typos.
 
I've seen a few posts of people not having it. I've always had HTC devices and they've always had the spell check red line.

I would not mind having this as well. I haven't seen an option to turn it on, sadly. But I too have issues seeing misspellings. So if you ever come across the option, I'd be quite interested in it.
 
I don't know if this helps but in absence of the red squiggle the GO keyboard as you're typing will show the correct spelling. The correct word is highlighted so it stands out.

Squigle, highlight, it all work so long as that I can see there is a typo in the message.
