texting stopped working

I followed the directions for turning off 3g (to get better battery life) and now I cannot send text messages. I can receive but not send any messages. I have tried soft resetting, and putting things back to how they were before, but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's possible that AT&T has something incorrect on your account. I'd contact them, inform them of your issue, and ask them to re-check if you have the proper messaging plan, and imei on file. One day my messaging stopped working, and I just went in and out of flight mode and it started functioning properly.

Oh, and if you can't seem to get it working, you could always do a factory reset.

I did a factory reset, and that didn't help. I do believe it was on att's side, as I figured out it was my phone not pulling down the smsc number (text messaging center.) I had that happen several times on my palm centro, and one very long call to att fixed that. Same problem here. Thanks for the help
