Hi!
I have a quick question. I have no regular texting plan (from Verizon), so I am constantly on the lookout for free messaging apps that I can use instead of the native texting app from Verizon. Recently I have discovered that Facebook Messenger (app) can act as an SMS/MMS messenger.
My question is (2 parts): If I use this feature, will I get charged the 20 cents for sending/receiving a text through Facebook Messenger or does it use my data plan? And second: Does the person that I'm texting, need to have the Messenger app installed on their phone to receive my texts, or does it just go to their native Verizon texting app?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advanced,
