Help Texts arrive late or disappear?

Recently I text people and never hear from them or they just text me back hours after. I didn't really look into it but I just talked with a few friends and they said they never received my text or the time they received it is much later than the time I sent it. I don't know if it's this phone or it's sprint doing this. I am just wondering if anyone is encountering this problem too?

I was sending messages and not get my replies. I shut my phone down and waited a few minute and brought back up and what ever was happening, it cleared it up.

This has happened to me a few times recently. I was texting a friend at like 9am and I responded back to him. When I saw him the next day he was like "Why did you text me at 3am?" when I didn't. It was my text that I had sent him at 9am.

And another one of my friends (who has Verizon) didn't get any 3 of my texts one day over a couple hour span. She rebooted her phone and it started working then, so i don't know if it was my phone or hers.

I've always found my text delays caused by them getting stuck somewhere in the transmission stream after leaving my phone. Happens most commonly when I'm sending msgs to people while on the move (either they're roaming or I am). The msgs get delivered later basically in an automated dump by the last serving holding the packet whenever it's time comes up to dump.

The funny part is that one of my friends is on sprint with another android phone instead of EVO. Our texts sometimes got delayed too. Therefore I am confused whether it's sprint's problem or EVO's? Now it kinda bugs me because I don't know whether it's my friend not replying me in time or the texts get delayed again.
