Help Texts get cutoff

So my texts get cutoff. When people send me a text over 160 characters it gets split into parts and I only get the first part. I know this is a MetroPCS issue because MetroPCS service is horrible, lol. Is there any chance that it could just be my phone? And if it is a MetroPCS issue does anyone know or heard of a way that might fix it? Maybe an app on the Play Store that will handle all SMS/MMS receiving and sending or something?

nope, thats the limit for everyone. that may be true for phones on any carrier, not sure about that though.

Let's say my girlfriend sends me a text and she used 400 characters. It'll split into three parts cause of the 160 character limit. I'll get the first part, then the second and then the third. There are times when I'll ONLY get the first part and I won't get the rest of the parts for a couple hours. A lot of times I wake up in the morning and I have like 30 new texts cause they were all missing parts that I never got. I'll look at the time I received them and all of them have the exact same time. Why do I receive them so late?

my guess is you're in a bad area or dead spot in your house where you have a lot of dropped calls and texts and some go through on time and some dont.

Some phones had a feature that would split texts over 160 into multiple messages before smartphones automatically started converting them to MMS. It may or may not just be metro that has an issue with messages sent out with all the exact same timestamp or something, but the only real working solution is to tell the people whose phones do this what happens and ask them to watch the characters on their phones before sending the message and manually split them if they're gonna be over 160.

I have the same problem too. If I get split messages, I usually get one text only. I don't get the rest like later. And later sometimes can be up to hours. I thought it was only me who had this problem. Any ways to fix this?

Tell the people who send them like that to manually send them in smaller segments so you get the whole thing, there's really no other solution.
