Help Texts taking forever to be received/sent

I had to shut off my phone and turn it back on before i recieved my text messages, and the test message i send to a friend hasn't gotten there yet, even though i sent it like 10 minutes ago? I have launcherpro and just got the phone this morning.

Uninstall the task killer that the sales person installed. Then reboot.
