Root Thanks & q's.

I was unhappy about several things with this device and searching for how to correct them, short batt life, junk apps, etc. Through the information garnered here I sucessfully rooted, flashed A05PTH3ORY 1.3 with imoseyon lean kernel with 2.5 radios and am rocking it. Battery life is better, screen speed is better and smoother, I don't have to deal with Blockbuster anymore, Etc etc. Special shout out to Scotty85 and Yeahha, i got a lot of good data from your posts. :D

Only things i have to fix, I screwed up the GPS radio and didn't figure it out until I was way into customizing it... Is there any way to fix that without wiping everything, flashing to stock, enabling lock, then flashing back to this? I'll do it if I have to (HOW DID I LIVE WITH THIS BEFORE TIBackup?!) but if there is an easier way...

To fix the GPS problem you'll need to do a nandroid backup of your current setup. Then flash back to a sense rom and open maps to get a gps lock. Now restore your nandroid backup of AO5TH3ORY and open maps to make sure you got a gps lock.

Sweet, I didn't know it would work with a full nandroid backup of current image, I thought it had to be started from scratch. Awesome.

if your gps worked in your previous rom you might try this before restoring a previous backup:
-download and run gps status from the market.
-menu softkey/tools/manage a-gps state
-press "download" to get assistance data from the internet.
-then keep the brown circle centered in the middle(tilting phone left and right) and the green dot centered(tilting forward/backward) and let it find at least 7 satelites, the more the better.

check maps again... your accuracy should be improved, and you should get fairly quick gps lock in navigation :)
