that obnoxious volume level warning

Listening to video sound thru speakers and volume all of a sudden dropped and no way to change it until a few moments later when warning message popped up. This has got to stop. Google could easily have complied with the new EU guidelines without this obnoxious intrusion, and given us some options to deal with this, including a non-eu opt-out for the many millions of us who don't have to abide by these rules. I'm pretty sure all the developers at Google have rooted their devices so they can work around this, but the rest of us dont have that option. Please fix this.

Hmm wonder if the EU version is different than the US one. What exactly does the warning say?

The only warning I'm aware of is if you increase the volume past a certain point when using headphones - you have to confirm that you really want to increase the volume past the "recommended maximum" level.

I'm pretty sure it is a EU nanny-state regulation but isn't that big a deal; the warning/confirmation appears only once in a session - and only appears at all if you are adjusting the volume while using headphones or if you plug in headphones with the volume already set higher than the "recommended maximum".

It clearly annoys the OP but it comes very low indeed on my personal list of annoyances, not even making "minor irritation" grade.
